Summit X, 2026. My ninth trek for charity.

Most years I take on a summit challenge for a good cause, alongside the team at Stocksigns and Messagemaker, one of my clients. The 2026 climb, Summit X up Mont Buet, raised money for The Children’s Trust, who help children rebuild their lives after a brain injury.

The story

Different mountains. Different causes. The same idea.

For about a decade, the team at Stocksigns and Messagemaker, one of my clients, has taken on a summit for charity, and their customers, suppliers and I have climbed alongside. Summit X in 2026 was my ninth. Not every single year, and the charity has changed along the way. The early climbs went to other good causes. More recently, and again in 2026, we’ve climbed for The Children’s Trust. Last year we scaled Monte Perdido, the Lost Mountain, and raised over £26,000.

This year: Summit X.

My ninth trek, and one of the toughest. We climbed Mont Buet, 3,096 metres, across the valley from Mont Blanc. Two days on the mountain, a night in a hut at 7,500 feet, then the summit on day two. Ice fields, scree and a few drops that focus the mind. It took some nerve and a lot of training.
