Hi, I'm Dave. I find the money your business is quietly losing, and help you keep it.
Fifteen years in print, sign and ecommerce. I take the finance off your plate, show you what a job really makes, and give you a straight answer when the decisions get hard.
Our core values.
We don’t want your money unless we’re earning it. The refund applies to the diagnostic. If you don’t feel it added value, we refund the £995 in full. You decide, not us.
Monthly support is separate. It is rolling, month to month, so you are never tied in.
We explain things to be useful, not to sound clever. If it doesn’t help you make a decision, we leave it out.
A bookkeeper tells you what already happened. We help you plan for what’s next.
Fifteen years inside print, sign and ecommerce businesses, working alongside the shop floor and in sales, purchasing and product. We have not run the press ourselves. We have sat with the people who do, and we know what the numbers behind it actually mean.

I did not set out to be the finance person. I set out to be useful.
I have spent fifteen years in and around print. I know the printers, the quoting, the make ready, the waste, the long debtor days and the feast and famine of the workflow. I have sat in those businesses and felt the pressure.
I have watched good print firms stall. Not because the work dried up, but because the owner was worn out, without a firm grip on the numbers. That is the gap I fill.
There is one other thing I give real time to. Over the last decade, alongside one of my clients, I have climbed mountains to raise money for charity. The 2026 climb was my ninth, and last year we raised over £26,000. These days it goes to The Children’s Trust, who help children rebuild their lives after a brain injury. It is the hardest part of my year, and the part I am proudest of.
Different businesses. The same job.
The skill that finds a lost margin on a print run is the skill that finds it on a product launch, a vehicle build or an app. I have costed a print run and a product launch, chased a slow payer and a rent review, negotiated with suppliers in China and managed importing end to end to cut input costs. Print, signage, advertising, technology, manufacturing and property: different businesses, same job. Know your numbers, and keep your head.
Property is part of that too. Most owners either own their premises or are tied to a lease they have not looked at in years, and after wages it is usually the biggest cost in the business. I have handled rent reviews and lease negotiations, and it is real money that often goes unclaimed.
That is why the specialism matters but does not limit us. Fifteen years in print is what makes the advice sharp. The thinking travels.
Look after the engine and it goes further.
When I am not in the numbers, I am a personal trainer and coach. I teach breathing, help people deal with stress, and help owners build the business they actually want, rather than one that runs them. It is not a side hustle. It is who I am.
That is why I care whether you are actually alright, not just whether the accounts balance.
You are never relying on one person.
I am the print, sign and ecommerce specialist within D2D Associates, a collective of specialist finance directors. When a client needs expertise beyond my own, I bring in the right specialist. Keith runs KeithFd. Others will join.
Three principles we actually work to.
Make a difference, or don't bother.
Real change, not a monthly report you never read.
Do the right thing, even when it costs me.
The truth, even when it is not what you want to hear.
Enjoy the ride.
Building a business is hard. It should not be miserable.
